StEER-Leb Capacity Building Project
StEER-Leb is an acronym for “Student Empowerment, Engagement, and Representation in Lebanese Universities.” This Capacity Building project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The main Lebanese universities participating in this project are USEK (coordinator), LAU (partner), and USJ (partner). The European partner universities consist of the University of Cadiz (Spain), the University of Rouen (France), and the University of Bologna (Italy).
The objective of this project is to empower Lebanese university students, involve them in university decision-making, and grant them an effective voice that allows them to actively be a part of their institution. Students from the partner universities in Lebanon and European programme universities attend shadowing visits and capacity building activities to work on the project and tackle the topic of student engagement in campus life.
