LAU-NGO fair

Each year LAU presents an NGO (Non Governmental Organization) fair for students at the university, with the aim of instilling in students the importance of community service and volunteer work.

By bridging the gap between students and civil society, the fair presents NGOs with a platform to educate students about their work, and students are given the unique opportunity to channel their creative potential, energy and passion into the meaningful conduits of constructive social work.Active participation from the NGO community in Lebanon ensures that the LAU NGO Fair bridges the gap between the various constituencies of Lebanon, and encourages them to work together for a brighter future.Last year, the LAU NGO Fair hosted 70 NGOs from across Lebanon. This year, the NGO fair’s theme is “Civic Actions Speak Louder than Words,” and was held on April 13 at the LAU campus in Beirut.

During the fair you get to:
  • Engage with 90 different NGOs working in different sectors
  • Participate in a contest that can win you valuable prizes
  • Watch documentaries about projects done by the NGOs themselves
  • Express yourself on civic engagement

Civic Action speaks louder than words, so join us and place your mark!

Check out the list of the NGOs participating, the documentaries and a schedule of the movies that will be screened.
